Great Uncle Willard: World War & Covid-19

Just press play for a bit of history. One of my personal family connections is pictured below, and I am only beginning to learn of his secret, volunteer mission for D-Day. We begin reflecting today of the great sacrifice of so many thousands of soldiers, sailers, marines, and airmen on this historic anniversary. We are free because of veterans and those who paid with their lives. May God Bless them and keep them.

***Edited 4/8/2020 in light of Covid-19 pandemic:

I just wanted to add a note to this post after I watched Queen Elizabeth in her address recently to the people of the UK. How strange yet fitting that she should reference this old WWII song and sentiment in such a different time. I find myself once again marveling at her life's experience...to be present during both events which warrant sacrifice and uncertainty. I think she was spot on in her messaging and we will all meet again--more resilient, more wise, more prepared!

Be well friends!
