Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. This month we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Pals Blog Hop with “Critters” from the Stampin’ Pretty Pals. Many of the design team members are offering “Mystery Blog Candy” of their choice to 1 lucky winner. To play along, just leave a comment on as many blog posts as desired. A random winner will be announced on a subsequent blog post by each participating design team member. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Hello Pals Hoppers! Pleased to meet you if this is the first time you've visited here!
For the critter challenge I couldn't resist showcasing birds. I thought I'd share a simply lovely design using the stamp set Free As A Bird and our Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. I've been lucky to share an interest in birding with my son, and we marvel watching our feathered friends in the wild.
Here I layered a bit of fussy cutting [which I love to be doing while listening to my favorite radio shows, a podcast, or perhaps a morning news show] with a Pinewood Planks embossed background, and a Stitched Nested Label die cut sentiment to create a special birthday card for my friend just moved back to the states.

Thanks for hanging in to see this last stop on the hop! I have something fun to give away, so leave me a comment telling me how you put your own stamp on life. It could be about anything...favorite bird, things you love to do, kids, grandkids, best dish you make, favorite book...it's all about how we each make a unique contribution to the world just by being ourselves!
*The winner will be drawn on Friday, and prize/eligibility is limited to USA shipping addresses only. Thanks for your understanding!

Very, very pretty card. Love birds!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat! [and you are the 'early bird' as the first to comment--which I appreciate!]
DeleteYou are well-placed to be hopping with the this talented group of Pals! It was definitely worth it to “hang in” until your post. Lovely card (inside, too!) Can’t wait to see what you do in April~
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait...thanks again for stopping by, and for your kind words:)
DeleteI put my stamp on life by being creative and sharing cards with many people on my journey. Each card is a treasure, and this act of kindness is well received.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing! It's why I was so drawn to stamping...creating something with someone in mind for some reason: it's a tangible vessel of love!
DeletePerfect background to make your birds "sing"!
ReplyDeleteI put my stamp on life by pouring as much time and love as I have into my two grandsons. I also donate a lot of my cards and share what I learn about card making with fellow crafting sisters.
Nice! Thanks for taking the time to comment:) I love puns and wordplay [there are a few posts on my blog about that] and appreciate your enthusiasm! Keep on filling those grandsons up--it makes for such a better world!
DeleteI absolutely your creation! so very soft and chic!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by:)
DeleteCONGRATULATIONS! You are my blog candy winner. See today's post for details and prize reveal and please email me with your info so I can send it to you!
DeleteLove your card, the colors are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour kind words make my day! May yours be lovely too:)
DeleteI love the pink woodgrain background. I would have never thought of using a color other than brown for the wood. It really adds such an unexpected layer to this card!
ReplyDeleteI love using color texture backgrounds...blues just make a card beachy, and I used red wood texture for my Christmas cards this year [check my Instagram!] Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your kind thoughts!
DeleteYour fussy cutting is amazing! I love these birds, too, and your layout is perfection.
ReplyDeletethanks for your kind words and for stopping by today!

DeleteI love birds...watch them everyday. Your colors are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThanks fellow bird watcher!

ReplyDeleteLet me know how you put your own stamp on the wood background?!
DeleteLove the Bird Ballad suite!!! Your card is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThis set is so versatile. I don't usually buy stamps that I have to color...I am not so good at that. But I love this one and you are an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteCheck back for some coloring ideas! It's easier than you think:)
DeleteVery pretty card. Love how you added stamping to the inside also!
ReplyDeleteI usually don't stamp inside except for sentiment...the birds inspired me:)
DeleteStunning Card !
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by today!
DeleteBeautiful bird card! I'm a Christian so hopefully I make my stamp on life around me by doing the best I can to represent Jesus everywhere I go. (I'm not sure I always do but it is my goal!)

I've always thought of birds as messengers of joy! Thanks for hopping!
DeleteDeb, this card is gorgeous! I absolutely love this suite and your choice of colors and details have really showcased how every stamper should have it. I am so happy that you joined the hop and really hope to see you next month! Great job!!

DeleteThis is a lovely card. I'm smitten with this suite.
ReplyDeleteI love that you were smitten...no higher praise! Thanks for stopping by to say hi!
DeleteI love your card. I never would have thought to do the background in the pink woodgrain, but it totally works. My passion right now is taking care of my two grandsons ages 6 and 3. A quote I saw recently sums it up: "Being with children takes me out of my head and forces me into the moment." So true.
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! Shower those young lives with love and joy!
DeleteOh my goodness, this is a perfect card in every way. The woodgrain is so nice with the card lay out. I would not have even given it a thought to use femine colors with the woodgrain EF.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing this and the details.
I am looking forward to seeing many more of your cards.
Glad I could inspire...it's the breath of life [from the Latin] Thank you for your kind words:)
DeleteI love to stamp and send cards to family and friends.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Thanks for hopping!
DeleteFirst, I love your card! The fussy cut birds and the pink background are great! I put my "stamp" on life by sending cards, quilting ( a newly acquired hobby), singing and investing time in my boys.
ReplyDeleteI hear quilting keeps one out of trouble;) Thanks so much for stopping by and thanks for investing in those boys and others!
DeleteSuch a lovely card with SO much detail (including the embossing folder).
