Here's a new blog feature to discuss and design around texture! Of course we have so many options with physical texture when we use embossing folders, embellishments, layers--both flat and raised with Stampin' Dimensionals, and even with Designer Series Papers which give the illusion of texture and actual texture like foil, reflective, etc. Even stamps can provide texture with watercolor look--as an inking technique or built into the stamp's design like the Distinktive™ Stamps.

In the sympathy card above I first stamped images from the Sale A Bration stamp set Berry Blessings--which coordinates with Sweet Strawberry Bundle--in Misty Moonlight, Crushed Curry, and Smokey Slate. Next I ran it through the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.

To finish it off, I layered a scrap of Playing With Patterns DSP for the perfect pop of color, and stamped the sentiment in Slate [from another Sale A Bration set called Heal Your Heart] on a blank die cut from Many Messages die.

Timesaving tip: keep a little container of these blank die cuts to pull out whenever you need a quick layering piece for sentiment stamping!
