Pals Blog Hop: My Favorites In the Catalog

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is our Favorites from the New Catalog. We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

   How's Life Friends?

I've been very busy with camp recently...Civil Air Patrol Encampment that is;) It was an amazing experience to spend a week on an Army National Guard base, train advanced cadets, carry around a radio as "Instructor Charlie," render customs and courtesies, drive CAP vehicles, guard a public road so some special forces friends could do some training at the range, rappel down a 50' tower, ride a Huey helicopter with the doors open along the nap of the earth low level training course waving to boaters and fishermen on the river, serve chow with a smile to the hungry cadets, stay up late and get up early, change uniforms with ease, and live a military style life for a while alongside my husband of 34 years. When he was in the Navy, he was the one who went away from the family for long stretches of time. Nowadays we serve together and it's a blast!

My grandson's Mama Grand wears combat boots:)

It's great to get back into the "civilian" world and my studio for this month's Pals Hop with my catalog favorites.

Nothing beats these awesome Spotlight on Nature Dies:

I used some clear embossing powder on the stamped sunshine sentiment from Kindest Expressions:

I also wanted to share some favorite features in the new catalog too, like page 22 entitled "Basic Card Design" which has the sketch thumbnails at the bottom. They inspired me for this slimline card design. And the color theory ideas on pages 134 and 135 are terrific resources to make papercrafting art easy!

Hope this finds you all well and staying cool in the heatwave sweeping the USA now. Thanks for hopping by, and may the rainbows always find you!

   Be Well Friends!

We have even more inspiration to show you, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. Please mark your calendars for our next blog hop next month, when our theme will be Summer Vacations.

  1. You've been busy! Thanks for your service, I miss the military life, lots of fond memories but lots of hard times too. Especially saying bye to friends when having to move to a new location. Your card is unique and cheerful, I like how you've used only dies in your design.
