Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is Fabulous Flowers. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
How's Life Friends?
I love cherry blossom time. [not that it's happening yet where I live in Montana!] When I lived in Annapolis, MD, I used to go into Washington D.C. often, and once enjoyed a photo safari during the Cherry Blossom Festival at the Jefferson Memorial/Tidal Basin. The trees there were a gift from Japan. The next time I photographed so many cherry trees was in Japan when our Navy family was stationed in Misawa. We drove to Hirosaki Castle for hanami, "flower viewing." It was something I will never forget...like floating on flower clouds.
For this month's theme I pay homage to the cherry blossom as a special reminder to stop and appreciate the beautiful, poignant transience of life.
I wanted to give these retiring stamps a special showcase. Forever Blossoms and coordinating Cherry Blossom dies [50% off now!] will be gone soon just like this season's blooms. The Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder is what I used to give texture to this Blushing Bride card base. Soft Seafoam diecut with the Scalloped Contours dies [part of the Color and Contour Bundle] provides the background for the no-line watercolor technique cherry blossom clusters.
In this second project, I wanted to show the versatility of the Mini Catalog host set, Expressions of Friendship. When I saw it, I knew I'd use it for three seasons. I stamped it on Shimmery Cardstock and used Stampin' Blends to trace lines and add extra color everywhere except the stamped Flirty Flamingo of the cherry blossoms.
I hope you found some inspiration here today. I encourage you to go on a hanami adventure, and wish you many moments to cherish.
Be Well Friends!

Both cards are so pretty with the cherry blossoms but I especially like the second card with the swing. Tracing the lines with the Stampin' Blends adds a nice effect.
