Hello Painted Lavender

Pals Blog Hop: Season's Greetings

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Seasons’ Greetings. This month’s design team showcase projects inspired by their favorite seasonal time of the year. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

   How's Life Friends?

I knew I had to go big or go home with this month's Pals Hop! With this beautiful Treasured Kindness set I wanted to do a whole seasonal series!

You might know that our family lived in northern Japan for our last active duty Navy posting. We got to know a little about the culture, the people, and the land. The Japanese are very seasonally minded, and I had a lot of fun interpreting some of the traditional design motifs in these projects.

In the spring, it's all about waiting for the peak of the blossoms, and I echoed the fluffy, white flowers with the new Decorative Circle Punch. I love the way it makes just the right size for a layering element, and it can be formal or casual--a great tool!

As summer rolls in, I layered my scene on some new basic DSP in Crushed Curry. I love this year's patterns and I bought all the color families!

Autumn is usually my favorite time of year and I love the way the clear blue skies make the colored leaves explode like fireworks! Here you can see I used the new Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder to set everything off.

Finally, there's nothing like the glow of moonlight on snow in the winter! The In Color Glimmer Paper is the perfect way to showcase this watercolor resist layer.

Do you have a favorite in this series of mine? What is your favorite season of the year? I'd love to know:)

   Be Well Friends!

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on [second Wednesday]. Our theme will be Focus on the Sentiment, when the design team will showcase a sentiment as the focal point of their project.

Until then, have fun in your craft space.
