Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, our blog hop theme is Party Time! We hope you will be inspired by all the beautiful creations the Pals made for you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
How's Life Friends?
I have a long list for Mother's Day this year with expecting daughters in the mix now. It's a fun switch to the follow-on generation and I'm so excited for this summer when we will welcome two more grands to our family!
When I first saw this Marigold Moments Bundle, I knew it would spend a lot of time out on my studio desk! I love the bold color ideas it sparks to my mind, and I have lots of possibilities for these perfect pops and textures.
For this design I went to Starry Sky with a Pretty Flower embossing folder background. I wanted a chartreuse color for the stems so I stamped them in a Parakeet Party green on Daffodil Yellow cardstock. Voila! A shade I was after using the paper color and the ink color together! [It also looks good with Granny Apple over the yellow, but I stayed with the brighter tone as contrast with the intensity of the Starry Sky!]
I accented with yellow strips above and below the panel to frame it and I'm super excited to continue the series with other bright color combos.
You can see a hint in the extra flowers on the shelf below the card: they are Highland Heather with Orchid Opulence overlays. Check back in later this week for other iterations if you're interested.
I'm also going to make a version of this "You have a Heart of Gold" as shown in the catalog which is what caught my eye and sold me the set:
Speaking of sentiments, I really like the "THANKS" too. And bonus: the single image looks amazingly similar to a carnation, so that has some fun future possibilities!
Thanks for hopping by everyone! Party On...
Be Well Friends!
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on April 12th, when our theme will be Flowers in the Garden, showcasing cards/projects with flowers.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.
