Also, here are some photos of the iterations I did with 'dummy' elements of scrap paper. This process comes from the mock ups that publishers used to use in laying out ad designs, columns in newspapers, and other printed media. Nowadays we use digital layouts, but when we work in a physical medium, it's helpful to use scraps/less expensive copier paper and such to get the proportions set:
You can see how I used stamped elements on copy paper and the real diecuts without gluing them down. I also use 1/4 sheets of scrap paper [A2 card size] to stamp on and use for sizing backgrounds as I design my projects:) I use a lot less of the real/more expensive supplies while I decide on the final composition of the project. It's particularly helpful when deciding on sentiment placement!
