Happy Hoolidays!

The Happy Hooliday Owls are perched to wish you all the merriest of days as we end the old year and begin anew…I just can't resist a pun, and with a little marker extra on my Hero Arts clear sentiment stamp I can change Holiday to Hooliday with ease! I love my new tree die--so many ideas I won't have to fussy-cut now.
Made this card and an ATC for the recent Hero Arts Flickr friends Secret Santa swap. Sent it off to my friend Sally over in the UK. It's fun to think these little critters are watching over some joyful celebration across the pond.
For the ATC I wanted something a little more sophisticated and I have had the idea to use a bit from the Brushstrokes Stamp Your Story set to make a tree. Worked perfectly on the 2.5x3.5 inch canvas size. I white embossed on white card stock, gold embossed a star and sentiment, then Distress Inked in Mowed Lawn and Mustard for the background. Easy and fun--can use this panel in a larger card for another design idea I have!

"Mammoth Man Turns Fourteen…"

Dear readers: Imagine a 1930's radio announcer's voice…or a newsreel narrator excitedly uttering the words, "'Mammoth Man' turns fourteen…!" My son, whom we affectionately have nicknamed, is almost as tall as his father [will most likely surpass him in height] and is still growing accustomed to his size 12 feet as he navigates around the house.
We celebrate his special day today!

Season's Greetings

It's that time of year for more than holiday cheer at our house. Lots of time spent on fundraising cards and haven't got around to doing our family ones, but here's a little bit of what I've been putting my own stamp on the past few weeks…

All for now--miles to go before I sleep...
