Roads Travelled

Here are a couple of cards with the same quote/technique watercoloring in Distress Inks on panels paired with different backgrounds. This is one of my favorite poems, and trees have always inspired me, no matter the season.

Traveling with my husband in Switzerland provided a wonderful journey through a small geographic place--and what spectacular geography--as well as a tour through time. When I stop to list all the ways we can journey in this life I realize it is an endless task.
Here are a few glimpses of the roads we travelled:
Up the steeple of the Cathedral of Lausanne...
through the history of the modern Olympics at the Olympic Museum...

across ancient cities...

on ways traveled continuously since humans first inhabited the lands.

On the Way

Where are you on your way?
Our travels always teach us something if we recognize the lessons.
I am lucky to live and learn. I have also been fortunate to travel under many beautiful skies and watched them renew. A sunset over Lake Leman in Switzerland...
and sunrise…
My heart was at home here.

The Little Things

I collect sentiments…in my journals, on slips of paper tacked to boards, on the backs of receipts from the kitchen counter, and of course on stamps! This is one of those all-encompassing ones that's great for just about anything I have to say, and it's been catching up on lots of little things that I finally emerge to post here.

Here's a couple of cards I made before a big trip last month. Spring has well-sprung where I live, and there are many things to start in the garden, in the studio, and in the house. We're celebrating the sunshine, the cherry blossoms, and the birds in their bright finery. Wishing you the hope of new beginnings and cheer for today!

Hello out there if you're still viewing after all this time! I apologize for being absent for so long, but I was checking off something on the bucket list. Never thought I'd be standing here to take this picture but I was. Any guesses? I'll try to start catching up this week and I'd love to see if anyone guesses where I've been.
